She's done it again!
Katy Perry's breakup anthem 'Part of Me' has topped the Billboard Hot 100, debuting at the chart's No. 1 spot!
The
lead single off Katy's 'Teenage Dream' album re-release, 'Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection,' has earned the pop star
her seventh career No. 1. As you may recall, Katy and her team were
desperately trying to break Michael Jackson's record for the most No. 1s off a single album with her
sixth 'Teenage Dream' single 'The One That Got Away.'
She tried everything from recording a
remix of the track with B.o.B., to
lowering the song's price on iTunes, but the song fell just short, peaking at No. 3.
While 'Part of Me' marks the sixth chart-topper associated with Katy's
'Teenage Dream' album, it unfortunately will not count toward the Billboard chart record. So close! On the bright side, the songs sold 411,000 copies in its first week and is still only the 20th single ever to debut at atop the Hot 100. Congrats, Katy!

As
Simon Cowell searches for Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger's replacements on the 'X Factor' judges panel,
big names including Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson and Fergie have been thrown around for the gig. Now, according to an Us Weekly report,
Britney Spears has put in a call to the reality TV boss in the hopes of locking down a judge/mentor role on the hit singing competition!
Apparently the recently engaged pop star wants a new job to go along with her new marriage,
but will Simon go for the idea? There's been no news yet if
team Spears and team Cowell have actually sat down for a chat about the possibility, but we love the idea of the bubbly Southern gal sitting alongside the notoriously icy critic and music executive L.A. Reid.
While she's not exactly known for her huge vocal range (à la
Christina Aguilera), there's no denying Brit's pop music prowess and huge popularity. She would certainly help contribute to
Simon's lofty viewership goals for the show.

Oh Mickey you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind. Hey Mickey! Hey Mickey!" If those lyrics don't immediately spark images of spunky cheerleader
Toni Basil in your mind, well ... you probably weren't around in the '80s. But for those of us who were, Basil's iconic video for her biggest hit is as synonymous with that decade as pet rocks or Pac-Man.
Undoubtedly her biggest Billboard achievement,
Basil's 'Mickey' went platinum or gold in the U.S., England, Australia and Canada.
The song also knocked Lionel Richie off the Hot 100's #1 slot in December of 1982 -- which was a pretty big deal back in those days!
So what ever became of Toni after she hung up her pom-poms? Let's just say she didn't exactly shrink back into the shadows! Click below to see where Basil is today.

Christina Aguilera has been subjected to serious criticism since packing on some extra pounds and flaunting her fuller figure in skin-tight outfits. And while Xtina's weight has absolutely nothing to do with fellow 'The Voice' judge/mentor
Adam Levine, the star was still asked to comment on the topic by Howard Stern during a recent interview. Talk about being put in an awkward position!
"This is a sensitive subject for women, but
why do you think she's gotten so heavy?" Stern asked Levine, whose waifish Victoria's Secret model girlfriend Anne V was by his side for the interview. "Is she upset?" the host pried, adding, "
She used to be so f---ing hot ... And her clothes are too tight, right?"

Rachel Crow's early 'X Factor' elimination was perhaps the biggest shock -- and injustice -- of the season, but not to worry! The 14-year-old super talent has just signed both a
record deal with Columbia and a TV contract to star in her very own Nickelodeon show!
"Columbia was awesome for me. This is the top, which is really cool," Crow told MTV. "
Beyonce and Adele. And I'm in the same family as them, which is really awesome." The teen promised that her debut album would be "spunky," adding, "It's just gonna be me."
As for the TV show, "
We are in the early stages now. We haven't figured out exactly what we will do with the show yet," Rachel confirmed to the New York Post. "I want it to be definitely very 'Rachel.' Something that shows who I am and who I want to be," she insisted.

Simpson's unborn child!

AOL Music has a special treat for all you
JoJo fans out there -- a remix of her recent hit '
Disaster'! After listening to the single, we were shocked -- it's a totally different sound than the original. While the singer's first 'Disaster' track was a raw, girl power anthem, the DJ Kue remix blends JoJo's vocals with a fist-pumping beat -- turning the track into a instant club hit. "I'm excited to present to you the DJ Kue version of my 'Disaster' video," JoJo tells AOL Music. "I love this remix and hope you will enjoy it, too."
Watch the re-imaged song, set to visuals detailing a toxic relationship, below!
