Last year, LL Cool J hosted the Grammy countdown event at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, with notable performances by the Black Eyed Peas and Maxwell. Like previous nomination events, this year's will most likely be full of 2011 nominees as well as performances from previous Grammy winners. While in years past, nominees (and often times winners) were slightly predictable, this year has seen new albums from huge artists like Eminem, Kanye West and Taylor Swift, as well as records by indie rock stars Arcade Fire and Vampire Weekend that both hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts, so it will be interesting to see how the Grammy Nominations Committee votes for the 2011 Awards.
The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will air Sunday, Feb. 13 at 8PM ET.
