And while it's not as colorful as Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys interrupting R.E.M. on behalf of Spike Jonze for Best Director in '94, Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech for Female Video of the Year has become a pivotal moment in each of their respective careers. The fact it's still the talk of the awards show a year later makes it our top VMA moment.
