What has been speculated for weeks was finally confirmed by Ryan Seacrest himself on his Twitter. Noting that the third judge will remain Randy Jackson, Ryan tweeted: "It's official: your new #IdolJudges panel is @yo_randyjackson, @JLo & Steven Tyler!"
While the report is exciting news for fans of the show, it still remains to be seen if the star power of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler can make up for the loss of mainstay judge and show producer Simon Cowell. Adding to the changeover, Ellen DeGeneres also left 'American Idol' this past year after only one season, and Kara DioGuardi was fired shortly thereafter. Jennifer Lopez had been rumored, but was said to have turned down the offer, while friends of the Aerosmith frontman unofficially confirmed his addition to the show nearly a month ago.
