Egypt Daoud Dean was born late last night -- October 14 -- at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York. Following the birth of his new son, hip-hop producer Swizz Beatz -- whose real name is Kasseem Dean -- tweeted: "I'm so thankful for everything I been blessed with in my life wowwwwww! #realtalk"
Mary J. Blige, who is a close friend of the couple, shared her excitement for the new arrival via her Twitter page: "I'm So excited 2 Congratulate my brother @ therealswizzz and @Alicia keys on there New, baby, boy!!!!!!!"
Egypt is a first child for Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz, who were married in August. Keys confirmed her pregnancy, as well as their engagement, in May.
