'Camp Rock' star Lovato was in the middle of the South American swing supporting the Jonas Brothers when she abruptly left over the weekend to seek professional help at a treatment center. "Demi Lovato left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time," a statement from her rep read. "Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help. She is doing just that. She regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future."
While it has not been confirmed what exactly she is being treated for, People is reporting that sources close to the star say Lovato has struggled "through eating disorders and has struggled with cutting." Suggesting that her behavior stems from her days being bullied in middle and high school.
TMZ also reported that Demi Lovato got into a physical altercation with a female on tour with her, though that report was not confirmed. Lovato, who has dated Joe Jonas in the past, also shut down her Twitter page over the weekend.
