Lil Wayne came up in conversation on Election Day, when Clinton was an interview guest on the "Morning Freak Show" on Pittsburgh's 96.1 radio station. When asked for his opinion on Lil Wayne's release, Clinton was quick to reply.
"I know this is kind of a funny question for you to ask me," Clinton admitted. "But I think, you know, my daughter introduced me to rap and hip-hop music after I said some things she thought were not very smart. She said, 'Dad, you need to listen, all these people are smart.' This guy's smart. And he's got abilities. And he's got a new chance now. And what I hope is that this is not just something to brand him as a cool guy, but that it'll never happen again to him."
It's not like Clinton really expounded much on the topic, except to say Weezy is smart and getting a new lease on life, but if it's one thing we know about the former President, he's a cool guy. And the man knows that Lil Wayne being released and the McRib coming back in the same week is a good thing.
