Miley Cyrus Drops Bret Michaels Song From AMA Performance

Miley Cyrus' performance at tonight's American Music Awards will no longer feature a rendition of Bret Michaels' power ballad 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn.' According to TMZ.com, the pop star's decision to nix the tune comes after rumors surfaced that Michaels engaged in an affair with Miley's mother, Tish Cyrus.

The 'Can't Be Tamed' creator will instead sing her single, 'Forgiveness and Love.' Several sources connected with the AMAs informed the tabloid website that a rundown of the production, which included a full list of all songs being performed, was changed on Thursday (Nov. 18). The 17-year-old Nashville native's version of 'Every Rose' was noticeably absent from the set list.

Two weeks ago, chatter erupted over whether or not the Poison front man was at one time romantically involved with Tish Cyrus. A source close to Miley told TMZ that she made the decision to omit Michaels' song from her stage show two weeks ago, which coincides with initial reports of the alleged affair.
