Miranda Lambert's hit 'The House That Built Me' was originally offered to her fiancé, Blake Shelton, but he turned it down.

Lambert, who grew to fame following her appearance on Nashville Star in 2003, says she feels very lucky that her husband-to-be -- fellow country singer Blake Shelton -- let the song pass so that she could act on it. "I'm so lucky that I was the one who got my hands on it," Miranda told EOnline.com. "The song was pitched to Blake originally for him to cut it and when I heard the song it just hit me so hard. I had a crazy reaction and I started bawling. It takes a lot for me to get to a crying point when I listen to music but it was just one of those songs where I had this feeling about it."

Blake Shelton's trash became Miranda Lambert's very shiny treasure -- the 'White Liar' singer is looking at two Grammy nominations for 'The House That Built Me.' Miranda added: "I'm sure he wants it back at this point!"

Shelton isn't totally down on his luck -- the 'Hillbilly Bone' singer took home Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2010 CMAs, while Lambert was awarded with Female Vocalist of the Year.
