Britney Spears is an eight-time nominee, winning her first and only Grammy in 2005 for Best Dance Recording for her 'Toxic' single. She performed on the awards show for the first time back in 2000, but this time around would be completely different. Despite the huge success around her just-released 'Hold It Against Me' single from her upcoming seventh studio album, Spears hasn't done a live television event in years. Though her recent appearance on 'Glee' and the impending March 11 release of her new record would imply the timing is right.
While it has not been confirmed, Perez Hilton's post goes on to add that their sources are "very, very good" and that Britney Spears has "been rehearsing for weeks and it's gonna be a truly great performance!"
With or without Britney Spears, the 2011 Grammy Awards will take place in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 13.
