Rumors have surfaced in the past regarding New Kids on the Block member Jonathan Knight's sexuality, but never has the pop performer admitted to being a gay man. However, '80s teen queen Tiffany told millions of TV viewers that he indeed is on Thursday (Jan. 20).

The red-haired 'I Think We're Alone Now' entertainer appeared on Bravo's 'Watch What Happens: Live,' alongside Debbie Gibson, to discuss the singers' role in the upcoming Syfy original movie, 'Mega Python vs. Gatoroid,' premiering Jan. 29. During their sitdown, host Andy Cohen asked Tiffany if she had cozied up with any of the NKOTB boys back in her days as a touring mall songstress. Her response: Jonathan Knight.

"The quiet one, the shy one," Tiffany admitted. "[Jonathan Knight] became gay later. I didn't do it. I had issues with that. I was thinking maybe I did. Now looking back when we were dating he was so much fun. We used to do facials together. He was so easy to talk to."

No statement from Knight has been released yet regarding Tiffany's controversial remarks.

Does not matter if he is gay or not- he is who he is. He is still the same sweet loving guy. It does not make me like him any less than I had ever did. I've always liked him and his little brother. The two of them do hold a special spot in heart. Nothing, will ever tear that from my heart. Jon, do not listen to what those fools say about you. You're a good person and you're loved in every way. I though on the other hand- never knew you were that way. But, it will not ever stop me from holding you so dear in my heart. I am on jealous though on the other hand- of Tiffany.. She also said he's an awesome person and they had a good time together.

But of course, people fixate on the "gay" part.

New Skids on the Block, glad when they stopped charting 'bubble-gum' pop. Why won't they go away... There is even one weekly on a TV show. Oh no, the lyrics to 'Right Stuff' are starting to 'sing' in my head. There's no escaping.

Why ANYONE should think it is there RIGHT or responsibility to discuss the sexuality of another human being is a mystery to me. What does it gain a person to do so? Even a statement of the obvious is lunacy. No one should be treated with such disrespect. It would be like stating that Tiffany was an ignorant, no talent has been. Hurtful and unnecesary speech. If there were a purpose stated in making the statement, then it is possible to condone such actions.

What a shame that Tiffany felt the need to say that about Jonathan. At this point it doesn't really matter anyway, but what business of it of hers to point it out? Is she jealous of NKOTB's newfound fame while she's doing schlock for SyFy?

I would be more inclined to believe that people who listen to their music are gay, but hey to each his own.....
