Cee Lo Green and Gwyneth Paltrow Bring Puppet Power to Grammys

The 53rd Annual Grammys were in need of some spunk and Cee Lo Green came to the rescue with more than enough of it. After Jamie Foxx introduced the performer, the stage opened up to an out-of-this world scene, rockets and puppets included. But the sight that caught the most attention was Cee Lo himself, who played the familiar opening piano keys of his smash hit 'F--- You,' or in this case 'Forget You,' while dressed like a psychedelic peacock, yellow, red and blue feathers aplenty.

Joining 'The Lady Killer' creator on stage were a bevy of puppets, from three female back-up singers dressed in mini skirts to a puppy standing by the piano waving its arms to the beat. Besides Cee Lo, there wasn't a human being in sight, even the keyboard player and drummer were a set of colorful creatures.

As Cee Lo crooned through his lyrics, a surprise in the form of actress Gwyneth Paltrow came to be. The blond bombshell strutted down a small catwalk decked out in all-black everything and cascading pink earrings. Paltrow, who's been showcasing her vocal chops recently on 'Glee' and in her recent film 'Country Strong,' had a microphone in hand and took over a few verses from Cee Lo's Grammy-nominated hit.

In what was undoubtedly the highlight of the night, Paltrow jumped on the piano, crawling toward the Gnarls Barkley member playfully. She even laid on her stomach and kicked her heels up to perform the explicit-less version of the tune.

@ Brenda- Esperanza Spaulding isn't an unknown. Perhaps to you. She has been invited to the White House to play in honor of Stevie Wonder. Not everyone that wins best new artist comes from the "pop/rap/r&B" field. The music she plays is jazz.

i can not believe that this man allowed himself to be dressed up this way. he is going to be pissed after he sees the video. he came off as a buffoon, what bothers me about this is the man can sing. he didn't have to do this. don't know who told gwenneth she could sing. who ever it was lied to her.

Who in the world is Esperanza Spalding? Since when does the "Best New Artist" award go to a relative unknown. You would think if they're the best, we would all know who the person is!?!?
