While performing alongside Jennifer Hudson, Yolanda Adams, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine and Martina McBride in a tribute to Aretha Franklin at the Grammys, Christina took center stage, singing with an intricately designed red microphone. The quintent banded together to perform several songs from Aretha's catalog together as well as taking on solos.
Together they kicked the tribute off with Aretha's smash 'You Make Me Feel (Like A Natural Woman).' Aguilera shined with 'Ain't No Way," while McBride took on 'Until You Come Back to Me.' Welch showcased her vocals on 'Respect,' while Adams did a stunning rendition of 'Spirit in the Dark.'
All seemed to be going perfect until the last song got underway. As the five songstresses rounded out the night's opening performance with 'Sisters Are Doin' It for Themselves,' Aguilera lost her footing and fell to the stage floor. While it was unclear if she tripped on her dress or stumbled due to her high heels, it was apparent that the blond haired singer was having a case of bad luck.
Watch Christina Aguilera take a tumble.
