Ashlee Simpson filed for divorce from Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz last month citing "irreconcilable differences" and requesting primary care and joint legal custody of their two-year-old son Bronx. Now, TMZ is reporting that Wentz wants equal time with his son and is willing to go to court to fight for it.

According to the report, Wentz has filed papers in response to Simpson's divorce petition, which also requests she receive spousal and child support. Wentz is reportedly asking for joint physical and legal custody of young Bronx, and thinks the couple should each have to pay their own legal fees. The original report states that Wentz and Simpson did not have a pre-nuptial agreement.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz originally married in 2008. In a joint statement at the time the divorce papers were filed, the pair asked for privacy and stressed their commitment to their son. "After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce," the couple said through a spokesperson. "We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our No. 1 priority. We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives."
