Gwyneth Paltrow is rumored to be close to signing her first-ever record deal.

The actress and singer, who has been singing all over the place throughout the past year -- from 'Glee' to the Oscar-nominated song for 'Country Strong' -- will release her first full-length album if the new contract comes through with Atlantic Records. Paltrow, who most recently sang the Oscar-nominated 'Country Home,' has been in talks with the record giant and may get a contract worth approximately $900,000.

Paltrow has jumped into singing more than once since first belting it out in the 2000 film 'Duets.' (Two tracks from the film also went platinum.) She also sang a 'F--- You' duet with Cee Lo Green at this year's Grammy Awards. "Those who have heard the music [Paltrow's] say it's country pop," said one source to the NY Post in a recent interview.

If she signs with Atlantic, Paltrow will join a very diverse group of artists, including Kid Rock, Death Cab For Cutie, T.I., Jason Mraz and James Blunt.

The 'Country Home' singer first appeared on the 'Glee' episode, 'The Substitute,' back in November and will be make her second appearance as teacher Holly Holliday on tonight's 'Sexy.'
