Britney Spears, 'Femme Fatale' -- Exclusive First Listen

Britney Spears Femme Fatale AlbumRandee St Nicholas

Britney Spears' highly anticipated 'Femme Fatale' album will finally hit store shelves next week [March 29], and like the singer, it's "Sexy and Strong. Dangerous yet mysterious. Cool yet confident!"

At least that's how Britney herself summarized it on Twitter. "I've poured my heart and soul into this album over the last 2 years," she added. "I've put everything I have into it.This album is for you, my fans, who have always supported me and have stuck by me every step of the way! I love you all!"

Since announcing the new album back in December, her first since 2008's 'Circus,' the excitement has been high for Britney Spears and her fans. Now her seventh studio album is only a week away, and from the single 'Hold It Against Me' to the countless leaks of the other songs, 'Femme Fatale' is a hit with both fans and critics alike.

Easily one of her most progressive albums to date, 'Femme Fatale' mixes more electronics into her sugary pop mix, including trance beats and auto-tune. As one of the album's producers, Dr. Luke told Billboard, the sound is, "harder in some ways ... and maybe a little more deep into electronic -- grimier."

Calling it one of her best, if not strangest albums, Rolling Stone critic Josy Rosen has already raved, giving 'Femme Fatale' four stars. Luckily, you don't have to wait until next week to hear the 12 tracks, because we have the entire CD for you to listen to at our Listening Party.

The point of Britney Spears is to produce idiots, any person that thinks music written by a third party has personal relevance to the performer is also ready to buy a bridge in Brooklyn...
Dr.Luke while self gratifying never delves into the actuality of dance music or clubbing as that era ended dramatically via New York circa former mayor Rudolph Guiliani, who shut down night spots, made dancing illegal and pretty much destroyed electronic music along with our current vice President "Biden" whom enacted laws which inhibit, no doubt proposed by lobbyists. Most savvy sorts complain about clubs in New York and the god awful music force fed to patrons, but thanks to "Luke" previously a Saturday Night Live player, he's here to change all that. lol
