'Hit the Lights' is Jay Sean's second single from his upcoming album 'Freeze Time,' and is the first since he dropped '2010 (It Ain't the End' featuring Nicki Minaj back in September of last year. Unlike '2012,' 'Hit the Lights' is an energetic, dance floor banger that leans heavily on the auto tune. Full of CGI effects, the video not only features Sean's Young Money boss, but Birdman and DJ Khaled also make guest appearances.
This isn't the first time Jay Sean and Lil Wayne have collaborated together, both having worked on Sean's breakthrough single, 'Down.' "I learn off of people who have achieved greatness," Jay Sean told MTV about the collaboration with Weezy. "There's something about them -- their work ethic, their mentality -- that resonates and strikes a chord. So when I watch him to see what he does, in my head I'm looking at it going, 'This is why he got to where he is.' And I like to learn that."
