There's no word on why Iglesias dropped out, but he reportedly didn't want to be a supporting act on tour. The 'Hero' singer is planning on issuing a full statement explaining his decision, according to a TMZ report. Tour promoters Live Nation sent out a notice that Iglesias was no longer part of the tour but declined to comment or give any more details on the news.
Iglesias, who is currently on tour in Europe to support his latest album 'Euphoria,' was scheduled to join Spears, who just released her long-awaited 'Femme Fatale' today. Spears just announced her partnership with Iglesias this morning on 'Good Morning America,' and according to a Billboard report, Iglesias was reportedly handling all of the production on the tour, which was scheduled to kick off on June 17 in Sacramento, Calif. and end in Toronto on August 13.
There's no word on who will replace Iglesias on Spears' tour this summer.
