'Born This Way' had the largest sales week of any album since 2005's 50 Cent album 'The Massacre,' which barely beat Gaga, selling 1,141,000 in its first week. 'Born This Way' is only the 17th album to sell a million copies in one week. 'Born This Way's chart performance gives Gaga her first No. 1 album -- her personal best. Her debut album 'The Fame' peaked at No. 2, while her follow up 'The Fame Monster' EP reached No. 5.
Gaga's success knocks chart queen Adele out of her long-held No. 1 spot. Adele's '21' slips to No. 3, while country music superstar Brad Paisley's 'This is Country Music' takes the runner-up spot. All hail Mother Monster!
