The top fashion icon's black, cossetted Thierry Mugler bodice gave way on the paparrazzi-packed CFDA Awards red carpet, and Gaga suffered an embarrassing nip-slip, completely unawares.
Despite the wardrobe malfunction, a teal-wigged Gaga went on to praise Mugler's design and talents in her acceptance speech. "I can't believe I'm allowed in here ... I used to save up my money to buy Mugler vintage archive. I used to save up all my money. I had to have it. That's really what fashion is all about for me," the fashion columnist popstar revealed. "I already felt like I had made it before I had made it. All of you made me feel like a star before I was. Thank you for believing in me," Gaga gushed.
In true Gagalicious style, the superstar put the fashion faux-pas behind her following the Lincoln Center ceremony, stripping off her dress -- this time intentionally -- to attend the after-party at the Standard Hotel in nothing but black nipple pasties and a studded thong, under a transparent mesh bodysuit. Gaga sang karaoke with Patti LaBelle and danced the night away.
