In between jamming out with the school kids of the famed PS22 Chorus and reflecting on his 'American Idol' days, David Cook has been working on his new studio album, 'This Loud Morning.'

Cook takes us behind the scenes in the studio with the third installment of his exclusive 'From the Studio' video series and shows us the meticulous making of lead single 'The Last Goodbye.'

'This Loud Morning' drops June 28, but you can listen to all the tracks a full week ahead of schedule at AOL Music's Listening party here!

This Loud Morning is just superlative. I love all the songs. David Cook is an amazing singer and I always want more from him.

The long wait for This Loud Morning was not in vane. Cook has outdone himself with the moving journey through a difficult time in his life and I am amazed at the emotion and sensitivity it shows. Well done Mr. Cook, well done!
