Jessie J Receives Death Threats

Jessie JLava Records / Universal Republic

British popstar Jessie J has admitted that she has been the victim of cruel death threats since her rise to fame and crossover success in the US.

Jessie reveals to Britain's Q magazine, "I've had people say, 'I wanna kill you and your family.' Death threats. I've had people say I hope you get HIV and throat cancer at the same time." "They say I look like a drag queen. I think the world has become obsessed with hating things," Jessie adds.

Jesse's debut album 'Who You Are' has been a huge success with the help of singles like the Dr. Luke-produced 'Price Tag' with B.o.B. and 'Do It Like a Dude.' It seems that where there is success, there will always be haters, but the rising star refuses to let the negativity bring her down. "People who wanna spread bad energy, I ain't got time for them to be in my psyche," Jesse insists.

If you don't know the singer, don't comment on the story. Nobody cares if you don't know the person in the article so it's pointless for people to comment "Who?"

She's actually a very talented singer who can riff like Christina (but more tastefully), but unfortunately her record label made her look like another stupid Katy Perry wannabe. I'm not too thrilled about her album or image, but listen to "Mama Knows Best". There's a video on youtube of her wailing in her room. She's incredible, but sadly image is everything nowadays :-(

Just because the chick looks like an untalented Caminone Diaz in a black wig, does not justify death threats.

Ok so half the population ( Just Guessing Here ) hasn't heard of Jessie "J". . . . . so what? I'm sure there was a point in time when the world said Britney Who or Eminem ?? or Jay Z. . . . I got 99 problems and listening to Gangsta Rap isn't one of them HaHaHa. If you go back in time every artist who has ever been wasn't that well known and all needed the publicity wagon to roll through their town.
You'll probably find that all the death threats and hate comments come from people with empty lives and little chance of any real success either. So they occupy their time trying to bring down the more successful people who come into their world to their level.
Do you really think it will make a difference to Jessie "J", Jay Z, Britney or who-ever you care to mention, what you say or think when they are counting their millions.
I doubt it very much.
Good luck to Jessie "J" I say, if she wants to get off her arse and make something of herself rather than go on benefits and stuff like so many other youngsters in the UK. Then good luck to her I say.
Oh and if Jessie ever reads this which I doubt I thought you did a great gig at Glastonbury even though you were in a cast.
Be proud of what you have achieved and don't give a toss what the nay sayers think or do.

Why? Who in the world has such a pathetic life that they feel it can only be made less pathetic by issuing death threats against a woman with such limited ability? I saw Jessie J perform on some TV show and it was claimed she was singing "live" (yeah, right--now tell me how much money I'll get if I buy the Brooklyn Bridge, but I digress....), and, I'm sorry, but I don't see her appeal. She's not my cup of tea but it would be a tragic waste of my time--and reflect just how pitiful my own life is--to consider issuing a death threat.
