"Good morning Atlantis. This is Beyonce," the singer announced during her pre-recorded wake-up call to the four astronauts of NASA's STS-135.
"Sandy, Chris, Doug, and Rex, you inspire all of us to dare to live our dreams - to know that we're smart enough and strong enough to achieve this, " she said.
Opening with a clip of hit lead single 'Run the World (Girls)' the singer then added, "This song is especially for my girl Sandy and all the women who've taken us to space with them, and the girls who are our future explorers."
The inspirational words were met with appreciation and reciprocation from Sandra 'Sandy' Magnus, the only female on the crew. "Good morning, Houston. A big thanks to Beyonce for taking the time out of her schedule to record us a greeting, and we're ready for another day here on Atlantis."
Who knows what's next for this chart-topping songstress, but hopefully it involves more surprise visits, both on this planet and beyond!
