Marc Anthony Not Handling Breakup as Well as It Seems, Source Says 'He's a Performer'

Marc Anthony may have been all smiles for the crowds at a concert that immediately followed the announcement of his split from Jennifer Lopez, but a backstage source at the July 16 Bogota, Colombia, show reveals that Anthony isn't taking the breakup as well as he would like the public to think.

Just one day after Lopez and Anthony announced their plans for divorce on July 15, Marc took to the stage at the Simon Bolivar Park in Bogota and joked, "They're saying I'm single." The singer went on to charm and chat it up with the female members of the audience.

Now, a backstage source from the concert, Spanish TV presenter Eva Rey, tells People, "I saw him when he was passing through the stage, but I think because he split up the day before, he didn't allow anyone to talk to him or anyone to come to his dressing room." Rey was set to introduce Anthony at a pre-show party on the day of the divorce announcement, but reports that Marc was a no-show.

"The people who worked with him said he was a little bit upset, so because of that, they tried to keep everybody from him," Ray revealed. "Everything he ordered was by room service. He was distant from people," she added.

Aloof and isolated behind-the-scenes, Marc made sure to fake it for the fans. "The show always will go on," insists Anthony's guitarist, Mario Sebastian. "He's a performer. He is as confident as all the band members are," Sebastian claimed.

THIS IS SHAUN'S WIFE, GINA. YES , I agree with one who said, Marc is probably too controlling. Now days women want more of a friend as husband, not a dad. We had one of those, and did not listen to. We want one to share ideals, laughter and lots of sex with, anytime, anywhere. One to flirt with. Be a real man, be confident ,and be her friend. If you love someone, you let them be happy. Don't try to force her into things, just be there for her and the kids. You are part of her life forever, being you have kids together.

Hello Marc...i understand what your going through...i never been married, but just broken up 22yr relationship with my sole mate....it's very hard...im 48yr single women raising my two granddaughter... ages 10ys and 13yr
I'm a home owner working full time and has a real estate licence which work is low...
I don't want to talk...i keep myself in my home crying all day... I pray to God allow him to come back for me if it's God's doing.

What starts wrong will definitely end wrong. We can't build happiness on the foundations of another's sorrow. She had an affair with M.A. while he was still married, not only that but his wife got swindled financially on the divorce proceedings. He practically made her sign an agreement that if she ever dared to say anything against him or JLO she would get fined by having a certain amount of money taken from her alimony. But they forgot that whatever wrong you do to others you will get back worse. This was just, like Garcia Marquez said, "A chronicle of an announced death".

To Jen, it's easy for women to just walk away, there always another handsome guy out there, just like a buzzard just waiting for a chance to steal a little bit, he'll tell you your beautiful a little more offten, he'll agree to do anything you want, give you what he thinks you want, but in the end it's still just about you., and as surly as you bhreathed life into those kids, you gave your husband, when you take the easy way out, you kill that husband, maybe not physically, but death non-the less, for really men marry in hope of love that last forever, so they can say to their children when they come to them with probles of there own, ( IT WAS NOT EASY, BUT WE LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH THAT WE MADE IT THRU). AND THAT'S A FACT.

I FEEL FOR ANYONE WHO GOES THROUGH A DIVORCE OR BREAK-UP, EVEN THOUGH IT'S AS NATURAL AS BREATHING, A PIECE OF YOU IS LOST DURING THOSE TIMES AND IT'S AT THESE TIMES THAT IF YOU HAVE ANY CLOSE FRIENDS, THEY SHOULD BE THERE ON THE SPOT FOR YOU.
