"How many managers told me, 'Get a nose job. You're not pretty enough'?" she asked in an interview for the September issue of Harper's Bazaar. Apparently enough to further fuel her drive for success.
"I proved them wrong," Lea remarked triumphantly. Lea's nose was a source of insecurity for her 'Glee' character Rachel Berry in an episode of the hit musical show, in which Rachel seriously considered going under the knife.
While she may have ignored the voices telling her to alter her nose for fame, it seems Lea still has some lingering insecurities when it comes to her physical appearance. "I'm five-foot-three. I don't look like a lot of other people, you know what I mean? I look like I'm 12," she told the magazine.
Whatever she looks like, Lea is determined to keep the ball rolling after 'Glee.' "I plan on playing every role on Broadway ... I want to do movies, make music. 'Glee' is only the beginning," the multi-talent insisted.
