The 34-year-old South Fallsburg, N.Y. singer, was scheduled to appear in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. on Tuesday night, while on tour with Train and Maroon 5, but was reportedly beaten by a group of assailants, late on Sunday night.
DeGraw currently resides in New York City, and had only been home for a matter of hours, after performing at Foxwoods' MGM Grand Theater in Connecticut earlier in the evening. A spokesperson for the 'I Don't Want to Be' singer informed TMZ that DeGraw has been admitted to Manhattan's Bellevue Hospital, where he is currently still under observation, but the severity of his injuries has not yet been revealed.
The New York Post reports that the singer had been out drinking with a group of friends when he decided to go home alone. Around 3:50 a.m. DeGraw was attacked, though it is not believed that he was the subject of a robbery. He suffered a broken nose and cut on his face. DeGraw then tried to leave the scene when he was hit by a taxi, but was not seriously injured.
DeGraw had been touring in support of his upcoming fourth album 'Sweeter,' which is scheduled for a September 20 release.
