Tween Renames Texas Street in Honor of Justin Bieber

If Carolyn Gonzalez, an 11-year-old girl recently given the chance to play mayor-for-a-day in her hometown of Forney, Texas, ever makes a proper run for office, she'll have no trouble getting the tween vote.

During her brief stint in office, Gonzalez renamed the town's main thoroughfare Justin Bieber Way, honoring everyone's favorite mop-headed Canadian heartthrob.

Asked what prompted the proclamation, Gonzalez broke it down for E! News with the kind of honesty rarely heard in politics.

"Because I really like Justin Bieber," she said. "I like his music and I like him. And I thought, why not have a street in my hometown named after my favorite singer?"

Sadly, now that Gonzalez's term is up, the road has reverted back to its original name, Main Street. Let that be a lesson, kids: civic involvement accomplishes nothing.
