'The Simpsons' star Yeardley Smith, who plays Lisa Simpson, revealed that the show's writers described Gaga's cartoon version as the "happiest, most optimistic person in the world," who "comes to Springfield to try to cheer up Lisa, but she can't."
Just how Gaga will go about trying to lift Lisa's spirits has yet to be revealed. Maybe she will serenade her with a presonalized version of her latest single 'You and I,' like she did for Oprah!
Gaga will make her Springfield debut during the show's upcoming 23rd season, but it's not her first appearance on the show. Gaga's likeness, but not her voice, graced a previous episode of 'The Simpsons' as Elton John's date to the Golden Globe Awards (as pictured above).
