Over the years, the MTV Video Music Awards have earned the reputation of being the one and only major awards show where it's not only OK, but actually encouraged, to really let your freak flag fly! As we patiently wait to see how the stars will try to outdo one another with their outrageous red carpet fashions at this year's big event, we're taking a look back at VMA red carpet history and all its horrors!
