What a Drag: Lady Gaga Performs as Male Alter Ego -- MTV VMAs 2011

What do you get when you cross a drag king with a Queen guitarist? Lady Gaga's opening performance at this year's VMAs, of course.

Before plopping behind the piano to perform her song 'You and I,' Gaga chatted up the crowd as her chain-smoking, crotch-grabbing "Jo Calderone" alter ego, talking about herself from the perspective of an unkempt New Yawk dude.

"When she gets on that stage, she holds nothing back," Calderone barked, his accent thicker than the grease in his hair. "The big, round, deep spotlight follows her wherever she goes."

Indeed, once Gaga started singing, she let it all hang out. Ditto Queen guitarist Brian May, whose wailing pleased a grinning Dave Grohl.

Shes a disgusting excuse for a human being. How come they keep pushing these demonic , possesed, confused sexuality having, individuals on the youth.. Are these their new "role models"? Is this not an agenda? "ORDER OUT OF CHAOS"!! The vma's were disgusting. I could only watch 15 minutes before barfing. What ever happened to the soul of a Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Barbera Striesand? Lil wayne, Jay z, puffy (sounds like something for breakfast), Minaj a twois, etc. The powers that be know that we a "vibratory beings" and music works on your central nervous system and emotions. With the right tone you can move objects, astral project, etc. With this demonic negative frequency it just "dumbs you down", regresses you spiritually, makes you treat your women like sexual objects with no other purpose than to ..... I can go on. The gold stupid teeth these folks wear in their mouth, the ugly a.. sagging pants (i am tempted to pull them down) now they have the young girls showing their underwear, its sick. O p.s. I am a black man who grew up in the bronx in the 70's. I grew up with Cool Herc (boston rd in the bronx), Grandmaster flash (t connection n the bronx) Africa bambaata who we called bam back then etc. My rap group recorded a song in 1979 called million dollar leggs (no profanity)

Clearly, GaGa is copying Cher! I remember when Cher did her Drag King Tribute to Elvis. And I have to say Cher did it better! But then again she does have an Oscar. Poor GaGa seems out of fresh ideas!!!

if only you knew the real reasonings behind this. plus people can do things without it being considered "copying". this was for a totally different reason...
