The unapologetic pop star came under fire for packing heat with a prop gun on the set of her forthcoming music video. But Brit Brit wont apologize for featuring guns in her video, as the footage is merely a "fantasy story".
The pop superstar filmed scenes for her latest single in east London earlier this month (Sept. 11), and during the Bonnie and Clyde-themed shoot co-starring her real-life boyfriend Jason Trawick, Brit was photographed running out of a convenience store in London's Hackney borough waving around a fake hand gun.
Local politicians on Hackney Council were outraged by the shoot's violent implications following local riots, looting and violence that occurred in the area just weeks earlier, and demanded an apology from the pop star.
Britney's management released a statement to MTV News which read, "The video is a fantasy story featuring Britney's boyfriend, Jason Trawick, which literally plays out the lyrics of a song written three years before the riots ever happened."
