New Couple Alert -- Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks!

Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks are the music business' newest celebrity couple! Looks like Derulo, 22, who's album 'Fututre History' just hit the shelves, has found his 'It Girl' in the former 'American Idol' champ, 21.

Jordin, who revealed a new slimmed-down figure this summer, snuggled up with her man during a dinner date at Philippe Chow in West Hollywood on Sunday night (Sept. 25) at a belated 22nd birthday celebration for Derulo. Jason's rep confirms to Us Weekly that the pair have been seeing each other since August, when the pop stars played a show together in the Bahamas. There was no comment from Jordin's rep.

An insider close to the new couple told Us Weekly that after being friendly for years, Derulo saw the newly svelte Sparks, "in a whole new light in the Bahamas. She lost over 30 pounds and looks amazing -- and he told her. It started there and they have been really reconnecting, now as lovers and not just friends."

"Jordin would sing to him occasionally through the night in his ear if her head was rested on his shoulder," a witness told Us Weekly. "It was Jason's only night in L.A. and the pair were excited to reunite."

It is a real shame he didn't see her as girlfriend material until she lost 30 pounds. She was very attractive before. He has made it obvious how shallow he his and unfortunately because of his celebrity status those ideals will influence young boys and girls.
