Nicki Minaj Receives Special Memento From Fashion Editor Anna Wintour

Fearless fashion fan Nicki Minaj has apparently earned the honor of receiving a special gift from notoriously icy Vogue U.S. editor Anna Wintour: a photo of the the pair together with an inscribed personal message.

After causing fan pandemonium on the opening night of New York Fashion Week at the Giuseppe Zanotti Fashion's Night Out store event earlier this month, Minaj got cozy -- in a dress made entirely of multi-colored cotton balls -- next to the famed fashion editor at the Carolina Herrera runway show, and apparently made quite an impression on Wintour.

The odd couple was photographed together in the front row of the fashion show and it later emerged that Wintour had personally invited Minaj to join her as her guest at the show.

The two apparently hit it off and the magazine boss sent Minaj a picture of them together, both wearing patterned clothes, with the message "We match!", handwritten on the photo.

Before she ever met the tastemaker, Nicki name dropped Wintour in her 'Pink Friday' bonus track 'Muny,' saying "Hey yo, Anna, hey yo Anna Wintour, I'ma need that cover baby girl!" Do you think the new friendship means there's a Nicki Minaj Vogue cover coming soon?
