Newly Cast-Free Jessie J Faces a Lifetime of Ankle Pain

The good news for Jessie J is that she's finally out of that cast she'd been sporting since June, when she broke her foot in a stage fall that kept her from touring with Katy Perry.

Unfortunately, the bone hasn't fully healed, and the British pop singer is looking at a lifetime of painful arthritis, the U.K. newspaper the Daily Mail reports.

"I can't explain how excited I am to have my leg out of the cast," Jessie told the paper. "Yes, finally, I can wear two shoes instead of one. But I will always suffer from arthritis in my ankle. It really hurts. It will be something I have to live with for ever. So I will never make that full recovery."

Best known for her hit 'Price Tag,' featuring B.o.B., Jessie said she resisted the temptation to take painkillers, even while her leg muscles atrophied and she struggled to get in and out of the bath.

"At first they gave me loads of painkillers at the hospital, but I didn't take them after that," she said. "I didn't want to become addicted. What sort of role model would I be if I became addicted?"

While she will likely have to forgo high heels from here on out, the resilient singer told the Daily Mail that she'll "have some bad-boy Sketchers blinged up" instead.

"At least I'm alive, and I can sing," she said. "I can't wait to get back on stage."

I'll make it short and come to the point : Many years ago (1962) an accident that crushed my knee cap and some of my right knee also that left me with "PAIN' ,after than I had three surgeries,drugs, treatments and tried a whole bunch of expensive snake oils and gells and,and infer red and lazer treatments that did not do me any good to stop the pain. I ran accross two very inexpensive products that took all my pain away and its been this way for two years,(NO PAIN!!!!!) I don't sell them ,but I can tell you where to get both, Call me, I WILL ONLY ANSWER CALLS FROM 7:30 to 9;00am....... One is a store bought and the other one is an order item. tutu, she's quite young and i understand because when i was just 15 yrs old, i had nearly lost my foot in an accident. my ankle was put back together, but i had arthritis in the joint 2 months after the injury. as time went on, it became completely unbearable. the solution; an ankle fusion. since i healed from that, i have had no pain in my ankle and maybe Jesse will realize that she has this option as well. not all ankle fusions are as good as mine, but any pain after one is minimal compared to the arthritis that the joint has (or lack there of) before the fusion. i'm glad u can get by with OTC aspirin, but some of us live in severe chronic pain that can even cause us to be unable to do many of the things we like and enjoy. those of you who have chosen to throw stones and bolders should take note, when you throw one, a larger one comes back to you!

OMG Does this ditz not know that we all develope arthritis with age, some worse then others? With the money she makes seh can afford powerful good drugs to take care of the pain. Me, I take otc Aspirin andmove on.

This woman said when she fed her dog bread based dog food, it's arthritis got so bad it coldn't walk, but when she switched to non-bread dog food, the arthritis cleared up. Something in the bread. What ?
Well, what is bread made from ? Wheat. How could wheat cause arthritis ? I looked at wheat growing in the field. Insects will eat anything but the wheat only gets a rust fungus, almost nothing eats it. How ? Aw, wheat has a substance that causes the insect's joint to seize up. They can't move and starve to death. I had arthritis in my neck. When I gave up anything with wheat in it, most of simply went away....Al-
