Justin Bieber, take note. Before teen girls went in droves to pre-order your upcoming holiday CD, 'Under the Mistletoe,' the original American Idol, Mr. Elvis Presley, had the entire country clamoring for his Christmas CD back in 1957. It was on this day back in '57 that RCA Victor Records announced "The King's" holiday record, creatively titled 'Elvis Christmas Album,' had received a staggering 500,000 advanced orders. The record, which included such classics as 'Blue Christmas' and 'Silent Night,' went on to become one of the best selling holiday albums of all time, moving over 13 million units. That's a hunka' hunka' whole lot of holiday cheer!

And for any Bieber fans still reading this post, Justin tweeted yesterday that because of his first Christmas singles popularity, iTunes has decided to release the song earlier than expected on October 17 -- so mark your calendars!
