Are the Black Eyed Peas Breaking Up for Good?

After the Black Eyed Peas were a no-show at the Michael Jackson Forever tribute concert a few weeks back, rumors began swirling that drama in the group was the reason for the cancellation. At the time, the group cited "unavoidable circumstances" as the excuse for pulling out of the star-studded show, but offered no more details into their sudden change of heart.

Hoping to calm fans' fears, band members Fergie and Taboo have just broken their silence on the issue -- and the news is good! "We're going on hiatus, yes we're taking a break," Fergie tells TMZ. "But ... it's not a break up."

"We took a break before," adds Taboo. "I believe it was in 2006-2007, when she [Fergie] was doing [her album], 'The Duchess.' But we're a family dude, don't believe the hype!"

Despite being on "a break," the band will certainly be busy during their upcoming hiatus. Band leader Will.i.am is putting the finishing touches on his new LP 'Black Einstein,' while Fergie has hinted she and hubby, Josh Duhamel, are planning on starting a family in the near future.

So we know they've sworn they're not breaking up, but would you miss BEP if they split for good?
