The eldest member of BSB, Richardson, now 40, officially parted ways with the group in June 2006 and posted a statement on Backstreet's website stating, "After 13 years of what can only be described as a dream come true, I have decided that it is time to leave the Backstreet Boys. It was a very tough decision for me but one that was necessary in order to move on with the next chapter of my life."
Since walking away over five years ago, Kevin went on to pursue acting roles on Broadway and in films, composing music for movie soundtracks and modeling for Versace, while the remaining Backstreet Boys released two more studio albums before joining forces with New Kids on the Block to release a compilation album and go on a world tour as NKOTBSB.
Now Kevin is apparently missing the five-part harmonies and coordinated choreography, as he will reunite with BSB on their upcoming concert in Nassau, Bahamas. The singer is set to host the band's concert and meet with fans, but is he itching to rejoin the multi-platinum group for good? "I would love to perform with them again on a more regular basis," Richardson told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show. "Our chemistry when we come together just feels like old times."
But, will the rest of the boys take him back, or tell him "quit playing games with my heart"?
