With lyrics like, "You know I'm a girl who's gonna change the world/When I grow up, oh what can I be/Well take a look and see/I'm going to be the best me that I can be/You know I'm going to change the world," the catchy song is gaining fans young and old.
The new uplifting video comes as a follow up to 'I Love My Hair,' another inspirational video for young girls about accepting their unique beauty and features. Penned by 'Sesame Street's' Joey Mazzarino, the song was inspired by the writer's own daughter, Segi, whom he and his wife had adopted from Ethiopia.
"She was going through this phase where she really wanted like the long, blonde hair. ... She would look at Barbies and really want the hair," Mazzarino tells ABC News. Egged on by his desire to help his own daughter embrace her natural beauty, Joey produced 'I Love My Hair," which currently has close to three million views on YouTube.
Now, 'Change the World' is well on its own way to gaining "viral video" status with nearly 300,000 views since its release on October 17. Check out the girl power sensation below and tell us how you think it stacks up to fellow pro-woman anthems like 'Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)' and '21st Century Girl.'
