Why It Was 'Hard' for Justin Bieber to Sing With Mariah Carey

Fans were given a sneak preview today of Mariah Carey and Justin Bieber's duet of 'All I Want for Christmas Is You,' but according to JB's rep, Scooter Braun, recording the sure-to-be holiday classic was anything but an easy process for the young Bieber. In fact, what should of been a dream collab come true was the cause of major stress for Justin. Why? In a word -- puberty.

During an interview with Billboard, Braun shares details about the difficult duet. "Vocally, his balls have dropped. That ['All I Want for Christmas Is You,'] was the hardest song to do," Braun says. "A year ago that would have been no problem." As difficult as it was for JB to hit those notes, the Biebs worked diligently to make it work. "Yes, that was high," Justin says. "But I grinded it out and we got it down."

Another highlight of the Billboard story that's sure to enrage fans of Paul, John, George and Ringo, is Braun's assertion that Justin is now as big as the Beatles. "All the hype and the kids running down the street screaming, you lose the chance to say that this started because of the music. This album lets the music speak for itself," he says. "I don't want to draw comparisons, but there was a band during the British Invasion that had girls screaming at them. I think you know who I'm talking about."

What do you think, is Justin as big a phenomenon as the Beatles? Are you looking forward to hearing his holiday CD, 'Under the Mistletoe,' when it hits next week?

I'm not a huge fan of Ms. Carey but I do recognize she certainly can sing. Bieber can't. That's the REAL reason why it was "hard" for him.
