Throughout the footage, 15-year-old Lourdes Leon, aka Lola, and her 53-year-old superstar mom trade insults in an attempt to prove they don't take themselves too seriously. Madge pokes fun at her publicly expressed hate for a specific flower, which has come to be known as Hydrangea-gate, and is captured squabbling with her too-cool-for-school teenage daughter in a dressing room, as a hair stylist pointlessly fusses with her hair.
Madonna may be a pop icon, but that doesn't mean her daughter pays any more attention to her mom than the typical angsty teen. "You're not taking this seriously," Mama Madonna snaps. "Have you done your homework?"
Casting to be the face of the Material Girl line is calling for a "woman-girl-female-child" who "likes to shop, but also cares about ... um feelings" as Madge puts it, and will be held in New York, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles in November. The winner will join the likes of Kelly Osbourne and Taylor Momsen as the brand's spokes model.
