The lingerie set, once worn by the Aussie-born beauty during a photo shoot for the 2012 StudyVox Foundation charity calendar, fetched a whopping $8,015 at the London auction. While bidding on the red, silk La Perla intimates was expected to peak at $6,400, the pop star's undies quickly sailed past that figure at the sale. The underwear up for grabs was also accompanied by a copy of the Kylie, 2012 Official Calendar, signed and inscribed by the singer herself.
No word on who bought the bustier and panties set, but to the generous fan, Kylie would like to say,"Thank you!" After word of the sale reached Minogue, she took to her Twitter page to gush about the unexpected good news. "Thx to the mystery buyer!!! WOW! So thrilled and for a great cause."
The proceeds from the big sale will benefit the StudyVox Foundation, the charitable branch of StudyVox FM radio, which aims to "empower charities to have their voices heard by providing its radio broadcasting facilities at cost."
