According to Variety: "John Branca, the executor of the Jackson estate, has approached Ivan Reitman and Tom Pollock's Montecito Picture Company about the possibility of producing and financing a Jackson biopic. Project would only cover certain periods of the late singer's life."
News of the impeding project has Hollywood in a tizzy, with insiders already speculating on what actor would be perfect to play Michael. After the critical success of such biopics as 'Walk the Line' and 'Ray,' scoring a part as meaty as Jackson could equal Oscar gold for a deserving actor.
One movie the Jackson estate is not thrilled about is the Conrad Murray documentary that aired last week on MSNBC. The showbiz family condemned the film, which featured an in-depth interview with MJ's physician and included Murray's description of Michael's final minutes and last words.
