Mariah Carey's Baby Nursery Cost How Much?!

Mariah Carey is the diva of all divas, so it should come as no surprise that she is sparing no expense when it comes to spoiling her new twin babies rotten! The pop star and her music mogul/TV personality husband Nick Cannon have reportedly dropped a staggering sum on pimping out their babies' nursery.

After newborn twins Moroccan and Monroe were introduced to the world on national television last month, reports have surfaced of the price tag on Roc and Roe's sprawling infant pad. Allegedly, Mariah and Nick shelled out a whopping $100,000 for a dream nursery for "Dem Babies!" The cribs alone set the parents back $30,000.

"I wanted to create a beautiful, tranquil, cozy environment for the babies," Carey previously told Life & Style magazine. "Everything matches, but pieces are individualized to celebrate the twins as separate entities."

This news has got us thinking about music's other power couple and soon-to-be-parents, Beyonce and Jay-Z. Reports have already surfaced about their future daughter's 2,000 square foot nursery, complete with a $5,200 Swarovski crystal-studded Baby Diamond Bathtub.

So who do you think wins in the battle of the extravagant baby nurseries?

They live in a different world than the average person. Their income is extremely high, but they work and most likely invest. Would you expect their millions to purchase at Sears? I have friends that are lawyers and they had custom made furniture for the nursery, it was beautiful, in good taste, and the cost was within their budget. Everything is relative.

I didn't spend a fortune on my daughter's nursery. I didn't have the money, I was starting a business and in college and her father didn't make a lot of money either so we were on a tight budget. What I did was use the talent God gave me and I painted a beautiful mural on one wall, A tree on one side with birds and butterflies and fluffy clouds and a beautiful sunshine peeking out from the clouds. Dancing all around the 'sky' were birds, butterflies and fairies. There was grass with flowers of every color, and in the grass were friendly animals. Although the mural was on one wall, all around the room were butterflies, on the closet door, on the other walls, and she adored that room. Even after her father and I divorced, he stayed in that apartment and the landlord asked that the mural be left. Out of pure spite, my ex's new wife painted over the mural, and my daughter cried her heart out. Fifteen years later, she still hasn't forgiven her. The landlord of the building (it was a small, privately owned apartment building) said it was such a beautiful children's room anyone would have rented it just for the mural.

It didn't cost me a lot of money, but I'll never remember being on a ladder, with my belly huge, painting that wall for my little girl to one day enjoy. It brought her a lot of joy, and a diamond encrusted changing table could never compare to that.

She can do what she wants to do with their money. She is stimulating the economy which is in the dumps right now. I am not a fan of either one of them but it is their money they earned... not YOURS! I just hope the kids do not turn out like the rest of the super-rich..spoiled rotten brats.

What an ugly nursery. Money doesn't buy taste, I guess. That woman is nuts...I hope she does not mess those kids up.
