Christina Perri: Tattoos Tell a Personal Tale (EXCLUSIVE)

Paul Archuleta | FilmMagic

Like most tattoo-lovers, Christina Perri's ink holds a special meaning to the 'A Thousand Years' singer. And after glimpsing Perri's many tatts during her coverage of the 'Breaking Dawn' premiere for AOL Music, we became enraptured by the songstress' body art as well. Being the lovely lady that she is, Perri sent us the personal tales behind her favorite tattoos -- like her "La Mia Famiglia" ink above. "My favorite tattoo is the one on my chest," spills Christina. "It says 'La Mia Famiglia' which means 'My Family' in Italian. My family means the world to me ... and I remember that every single day just looking in the mirror."

For more stories behind Perri's personal ink, read on ...

Gary Miller | FilmMagic

"On my shoulder is a painting of a french woman on the Moulin Rouge with armpit hair. My mom hates it. She thinks it's satanic."

Tim Mosenfelder | Getty

"I have the skyline of Philadelphia and LA on my arm because i love both places, but the LA one pisses people off back in Philly. The round one [on my arm] is a quarter, because i thought Lady Liberty was pretty bad-ass."

Moses Robinson | Wireimage

"Around my left wrist is 'John Paul George and Ringo.' I only got away with it in high school because my religion teacher thought it was John Paul the Pope!"

Maybe that's why I can't ever seem to remember my family. I haven't written the answers on myself ! I could maybe see it if you're getting old and senile and at least then you won't be around in 15-25 years to see them turn to crap. No hating but we have just one generation covering themselves up with colorful, detailed ink and they haven't thought of the eventuality. . . Oh, and one more thing, yes you will care about what you look like then.

Hey we may be messed up for telling stories with art on our bodies but at least we can use proper grammar when posting our insults on the web! Obviously people can do what they want with there bodies if you dont like it dont look at it. As for me tattoos are amazing!

Ok, so she thinks she's a coloring book. She'd fit right in in Austin, TX.

Nice! Tattoos are way low class, now she not only looks like a slut, but now a bimbo slut.
In LaLa Land that's concidered 'moving on up.'

that's a completely ignorant thing to say. really 'slut' that's all you could come up with, way to go you totally hurt her feelings. if your going to insult someone at least be smart about it instead of acting like an angry preteen, using your 'big girl bad words' doesn't make you more of an adult and its >>considered

Tatoos are a sign of low class! Sorry but no tatoo is or looks good. No matter what you wear the tatoo stands out and the clothes look cheap. Makes people look like they are not happy with their bodies so they have to cover up the imperfections so people look at them not the person. No tatoo is going to make a person look good or tell a story except "hay look Im an idiot!!"

Lol...maybe you should read a dictionary before you go pointing the finger at us idiots with the "tatoos"..."hay"? Lmao "hay look Im an idiot!!"...you said it!
My mum is 63 yo. she has flowers and vines tat"T"ooed over whole body.
Most people admire and compliment her, even people who wouldn't get it done themselves can admire this personal form of art and self expression. We shouldn't judge each other...hEy?
