The jet-setting singer was preparing for take off on a plane bound for the U.S. from China's capital when the pilot announced a problem with the aircraft. To cope with the sudden shock, 'T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)' creator found himself turning to spirituality in the midst of what must have been the hardest flight ever!
In a series of posts to his Twitter page, will.i.am recounted the incident in a dramatic fashion. "The airplane was about to take flight in Hong Kong and the pilot stopped 1 second before flight ...777 jumbo jets stop fast ... i prayed," he shared with his followers.
The play-by-play continued, "The pilot said the cargo door was left open & they realized just seconds B4 [before] lift off ... my angels & my grandma's prayers keep me safe ..." The head Pea was quick to praise the pilot for spotting the problem before it was too late. "All safe now ... about to fly ... 12hrs ... (This is when I sleep) ... good night ... This pilot should (be) applauded and celebrated ... he kept us safe ... LOVE and LIGHT," the positive pop star wrote.
Speaking of positive news, will.i.am's fourth solo album '#willpower' is set for a 2012 release.
