Jackson's brothers Tito, Marlon and Jackie opened the show by stepping onto the stage on the night that also happened to mark the 29th anniversary of the Michael's iconic 'Thriller,' album. They were followed by inspiring performances by the 'X Factor' hopefuls, who took on MJ classics including 'Billie Jean,' 'Black or White,' 'I'll Be There' and 'P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing).'
Jackson's kids Prince, 14, Paris, 13, and Blanket, 9, smiled and cheered from the front of the crowd alongside grandmother Katherine, who confessed she never misses an episode of the hit reality competition show. "It's my favorite show," she exclaimed.
Katherine seemed content with her "favorite show"s homage to to her son, despite her feelings about the sentencing of Dr. Murray who received the maximum sentence for the involuntary manslaughter of Michael. "Four years is not enough for someone's life. It won't bring him back but at least he got the maximum," Katherine told KTLA after the verdict was announced.
