In an interview with Fashionista, the 31-year-old country-pop star revealed plans to expand her eponymous fashion line to include clothes for expecting mothers.
"I'm going to do maternity, [and] we want to do baby," she told Fashionista, according to Billboard.com.
Simpson and fiance Eric Johnson are slated to find out the sex of their unborn child tomorrow (Dec. 5), according to US Weekly, so in addition to whittling down the list of names and picking paint colors for the nursery, she'll soon be able to begin sketching outfits for the little bundle of joy.
With the planned move into maternity and infant wear, Jess is quickly moving through shopping demographics. Earlier this week, she and her sister, Ashlee, attended a New York City launch party for their new joint clothing line, which is aimed at tweens.
"My mother thought it would be great to combine both of our styles, both of our personalities," Jessica told Billboard.
Tweeting about the collection, Ashlee said the clothes mix "Jess's playful + feminine style with my vintage-inspired edge."
