Katy Perry: Short Haircut Debut!

Katy, is that you? We hardly recognized the 'Teenage Dream' singer on the red carpet at the 3rd Annual "Change Begins Within" Benefit Celebration. After a week of fighting divorce rumors, it looks like Katy needed her own change to start this week off on a brighter note!

While Katy opted to keep a slight hint of pink in her tresses, the born-blonde singer went back to her roots with the new golden locks. Perry also decided to chop off her longer hairstyle in favor of an edgy bob. Perhaps Katy's best friend Rihanna inspired her new look. After all, Princess Ri showed-off a short, blonde bob just last week on the set of her music video for 'You Da One.'

Joining Katy on the red carpet was hubby Russell Brand -- who was still sporting the same long, brunette shag he's rocked for years. The two put up a united front in the wake of split gossip that haunted them all last week.

What do you think of Katy's new 'do: Tress yes ... or follicle fail?

Maybe if she'd kept the darker color, it would look much better...that blonde/pink doesn't do a thing for her!

Katy looks fantastic. The blond color goes better with her skin color. The haircut is cute & sexy at the same time. The total look is fabulous!

HI GERI

I think she looks good. The only problem I have with it is hair dye. So many people, even kids, are using hair dye to change their color too often and the chemicals in the dyes are dangerous. I only started using hair dyes when I started getting grays in my late 30's.
Just a few weeks ago, a woman used a L'oreal hair dye that she'd used many times in the past and went into a coma after having a reaction to a chemical in the product. She went into anaphylactic shock and as of the posting of the article, had an 8% chance of surviving with definite brain damage if she did. They're not 100% safe. You can use them and have no problem for years and then just get a horrible allergic reaction one day.
People don't realize that you have tons of chemicals seeping into your scalp right atop your brain. Elizabeth Taylor stopped using dye after removal of a brain tumor. My point is as far as these chemicals is, if you're not going gray, stay away. And if you are going gray, it's not such a bad thing. So many people are getting cancer. Do they ever consider how many chemicals they're exposing themselves to on a daily basis?

I had mine done at the salon, and I use peroxide to keep the top from getting dark, though in this weather, and this time of year, it's not working too well!
