Saddened and outraged by the suicide of gay teen Jamey Rodemeyer back in September, Lady Gaga vowed to meet with President Barack Obama to discuss anti-bullying legislation. Less than a week later, Gaga made good on her word, meeting Obama and presenting her proposal for the law at a fundraiser event for the president. Now, it seems that Mother Monster is one step closer to making a real change -- she is in the nation's capital today (Dec. 6) to talk with White House officials about bullying prevention.

Gaga is gracing Washington D.C. with her presence and will hold audience with President Obama's administrators to talk about a long-term solution to the bullying epidemic. The self-acceptance poster child is not expected to meet Obama himself this time around, as he is on the campaign trail in Kansas.

Since her initial call to action against bullying, Gaga has launched her own youth empowerment organization, the Born This Way Foundation. She also taped a personalized message for a Canadian student in support of his anti-bullying school assembly.

Gaga has been candid about her past as a victim of bullying, and recently revealed that her own record label demand that she be "a bit less weird."
