Michael Bublé: Music Is Being 'Ruined' by Auto-Tune -- Potent Quotables

"We've been ruined by Auto-Tune. Our ears have become far more sensitive to pitch and to perfection. It's weird. I can go and listen to my favorite Sinatra records and he's human: He's not always on, he can be flat. But that was good, because the performance was there ... I remember seeing Neil Young doing this big charity song, and the producer said to him, 'You're a little pitchy.' And he went, 'That's my sound, man!' That's my sound!" -- Michael Bublé

Soft-voiced, dirty-mouthed troubadour and recent 'Saturday Night Live' musical guest Michael Bublé rants against auto-tuning in the music industry. We're guessing a duet with T-Pain is not in the cards any time soon?

Who the hell is he trying to kid here? His recordings are SWAMPED in autotune to the point that he sounds like a robot & he even uses an Autotune unit when he sings live (as we all saw when it malfunctioned spectacularly & took every note the wrong way!) - that plus his phrasing sounds like he has palsy. And he looks like a potato. I don't get what the attraction is here... not to mention the scientology...

I don't know anything about auto-tuning, but I know I dislike Buble for trying to impersonate someone with real talent.
